Free Plan Guide
The Free plan is a great way to explore OpsGrip before committing. It gives you access to the Knowledge Base with some limits, so you can see how the platform works and whether it fits your team.
What's Included
- 20 Knowledge Base articles — Create and publish up to 20 articles
- 5 AI generations per month — Use OGI to draft articles, polish responses, or ask IT questions (5 times per month)
- Knowledge Base only — Other modules (inventory, tasks, trips, etc.) are not available on the Free plan
- Single user — No team features
What's Not Included
- Dashboard customization (you get a basic default view)
- IT Inventory, Tasks, Projects, Trip Ops
- On-Call Management
- Network Topology, IPAM, Alerts
- Team invitations and collaboration
- Integrations (Teams, SolarWinds, PaperCut)
- Guest Access and Company KB portal
Who It's For
The Free plan works well if you: - Want to try OpsGrip before upgrading - Only need a simple IT knowledge base - Are a solo IT person who wants to organize documentation
Upgrading
When you're ready for more, upgrade to Pro ($29/mo) or a Team plan ($59/mo or $89/mo) from Settings → Billing. During Beta, founding rates are even lower — and they're locked for life.
Tips
- Use your 5 AI generations wisely — OGI article drafts are the highest-value use on the Free plan
- The 20-article limit counts your articles, not the 140+ starter articles
- You can upgrade at any time and your existing articles carry over
