Team Management and Onboarding

OpsGrip's Team module helps you manage your IT staff and onboard new hires with structured plans.

Team Overview

The Team page shows all members of your organization in two views: - Card View — Visual cards with each member's photo, name, role, and key stats - Table View — Sortable list for quick scanning

Each member's card shows their role, contact info, and activity status.

Inviting Members

Click Invite Member to bring someone onto your team. Enter their email, assign a role, and send the invite. They'll get an onboarding experience with OGI when they first log in.

See the "Inviting Team Members" article for step-by-step details.

Employee Onboarding Plans

When a new person joins your IT team (or a new employee needs IT setup), use the Onboarding module to track their progress:

30/60/90-Day Plans

Create structured onboarding plans with milestones at 30, 60, and 90 days: - 30 Days — Account setup, equipment issued, key systems access, meet the team - 60 Days — Independent task handling, knowledge base familiarity, first project assigned - 90 Days — Full productivity, on-call rotation eligible, mentoring newer members

Tabs

The Onboarding module has three tabs: - Active — Currently onboarding employees - Pending — Scheduled to start - Completed — Finished onboarding (kept for reference)

OGI-Powered

OGI can help generate onboarding plans based on the new hire's role and your team's existing processes.

Enabling the Onboarding Module

Onboarding is an optional module. Enable it in Settings → App → Module Management if your team regularly brings on new hires or contractors.

Tips

  • Even small teams benefit from a written onboarding plan — it ensures nothing gets missed
  • Use the 30/60/90 framework as a starting point and customize milestones for your environment
  • The Completed tab is useful for auditing — you can see who was onboarded and when
  • Pair the onboarding plan with relevant Knowledge Base articles for self-service learning
