OpsGrip is a web application that runs in your browser. No downloads, no installations, no plugins. Here's what you need.
Supported Browsers
OpsGrip works best on modern, up-to-date browsers:
| Browser | Supported | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Google Chrome | Yes (recommended) | Best performance and compatibility |
| Microsoft Edge | Yes (recommended) | Chromium-based, excellent performance |
| Mozilla Firefox | Yes | Fully supported |
| Safari | Yes | Fully supported on macOS and iOS |
| Opera | Yes | Chromium-based, works well |
| Internet Explorer | No | Not supported — please use Edge instead |
Keep your browser updated. OpsGrip uses modern web standards. Older browser versions may have visual issues or missing functionality.
Devices
Desktop / Laptop
Any computer with a modern browser and internet connection. Works on Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS.
Recommended: Screen width of 1280px or wider for the best experience. OpsGrip works on smaller screens but the full desktop layout shines on larger displays.
Tablet
Fully supported. The interface adapts to tablet screen sizes. Works great for field work with Trip Ops, inventory lookups, and OGI queries.
Mobile Phone
Fully responsive. All features work on mobile. The sidebar collapses into a menu, tiles stack vertically, and tables convert to card layouts.
Best for mobile: Trip Ops, IT Inventory (QR scanning), Ask OGI, IT Tasks, Knowledge Base.
Internet Connection
OpsGrip requires an active internet connection. It's a cloud-based platform — there's no offline mode.
Recommended: A stable connection with at least 5 Mbps download speed. OpsGrip is lightweight and works well even on moderate connections.
Tips
- Chrome or Edge give the most consistent experience
- If something looks off visually, try a different browser before reporting a bug — it might be browser-specific
- For the best mobile experience, add OpsGrip to your home screen (see the Mobile Access Guide)
- Disable browser extensions if you experience issues — ad blockers and privacy extensions can occasionally interfere with web applications
